Chapple

We have continued to develop our numeracy and literacy skills this week. We have made our own books and told our stories to the rest of the class. Kian did a great job of reading the story of Waves, a book from the library, especially as the whole book did not have a single picture. Picture books are great for predicting and using our vocabulary. We have continued to work on our independence, we love going to the school library and borrowing our own books.

Show and tell is as popular as ever, so much so that the children form their own group and it was amusing to hear them practising their roles, including the teacher!

The bean bag number game is really helping us develop our sequencing.

As the wet weather looks to be with us for some time, please feel free to bring in named gumboots for outdoor play. We love paddling in puddles.
