Mead

Hello Mead families and friends,

This week the children have continued to participate in small group times and choosing from an array of spontaneous and planned experiences/activities inside and outside.
Due to the warmer weather we have really enjoyed water play! This has involved building sand castles in the sand pit, creating and manipulating in the mud kitchen and jumping in the stream of water.
Construction has been a strong interest within the room this week, building tall towers with the wooden blocks, connecting a long train track along the floor and building with the Lego pieces.

We explored and furthered our creative and imagination skills by painting with assorted colours. The children really enjoy this experience as they discover creating with different patterns. We will continue to explore painting using different forms of materials next week.
Mrs Prest created some green play-doh with the children; as they have demonstrated lots of interest over the past week with manipulating and making a variety of shapes and objects with the play-doh.
On Monday, we went to the Prep School Library for our first Library lesson, we each chose a book to borrow! This was very exciting.
Friday we had our P.E class in the prep school gym, this was a great way to further our movement and co-ordination skills as well as our gross motor skills.
We are very excited as we are now able to enjoy our beautiful new plants outside.

We hope you have a lovely weekend!

Mrs Prest, Miss Elodie and Mrs Nacca
