Langley

This week we have been discussing Easter and the special things we do with our families at this time.
Kaeshav - "We eat! I just eat the eggs from the Easter bunny!"
Declan - "Easter eggs. We're gonna put Easter hats on.....We're gonna go to the pool"
Lachlan - "The chickens come out of the chicken house"
Thursday's Easter hat parade was a great success and we even had a special visit from someone who left us many eggs to hunt for in our yard!

Also during the week, we moved our tadpoles from the container they were in and into a much more suitable tank. The children helped put peddles at the bottom and place rocks in the tank before scooping the water and tadpoles into their new home. We are encouraging the children to be respectful towards the tadpoles and not move or bang on the tank, just looking with our eyes.

We also cared for our other animals in the ELC this week - we feed the chickens! We had some very courageous Langley friends who went into the coop to feed them our left over salad scraps. It's wonderful to see the Langley children becoming socially responsible and showing respect for their environment and other living things.

Have a wonderful, restful and enjoyable long weekend!
