Mattingley

Dear Mattingley families and friends,
As you may have noticed we have changed our classroom around to make more space for us to play and learn together. With the help of the children we have set up some new areas to explore. Looking in the store room with Mrs Nacca, Dominic and his friends found the wooden fruit and vegetables.
“That’s like my Daddy’s work!” Dominic told Mrs Nacca. Together with the children in the classroom Dominic set up a fruit and vegetable store just like his Dad’s. When it was up and running one afternoon Ms Garland visited the fruit and vegetable store to buy some things to make her dinner with.
Do you have any carrots? Ms Garland asked.
Yes! They are $2 dollars- Harry H
What about eggs?- Ms Garland
You can have this one. Its $9- Dominic
This led the children to thinking about money and how it is used to buy goods at the shop. Poppy decided that she would make some money to go into the cash register. Next week we are going to research how money is made so we can make some more to use in our fruit and vegetable store.
We have also been very busy this week celebrating our friend’s birthdays. On Monday we celebrated Dominic’s 4th birthday with him.
'It’s my birthday. I am 4 now. I had a disco party'- Dominic
We also celebrated Izabella’s birthday with her on Tuesday.
'It’s my birthday and I am 4. Maybe I got presents. I have my night with my family, Mummy, Daddy and Stirling'. - Izabella
We all really enjoyed celebrating both Dominic and Izabella’s birthday’s with them. Miss Bowden and Miss Mason can’t believe how quickly everyone is turning 4. It won’t be long and they will be Angwin children.
Please see Ms Mandy at the front desk if you would like to order a cake for your child’s birthday.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend,
Kimberley and Rosalie
