Langley

Dear Langley Families and Friends,
Earlier in the week, Marcel found a feather on the ground while playing outside.
“Where this come from?.....Maybe a bird…...It just fell out!”
To extend on children’s thoughts on feathers, we went and visited the chickens in the yard. We all looked closely at their bodies covered in feathers, while some children were extra brave and went inside the coop to feel the chicken’s feathers. We will include feathers in an art experience next week to further our conversations and understandings.
Children are still very interested in farm animals, especially cows.
Billy – “Let’s watch cows now and baby cow. What a baby cow? Look! Baby cow dere. Oh daddy cow and mummy cow!”
This week we have continued to investigate these animals and have loved reading any story including them, particularly “Too Many Pears” by Jackie French. In the book, Pamela the cow loves pears but eats too many! We will bring the book to life next week with a cooking experience including pears, but don’t worry, we won’t eat too many J
We’ve had another week of birthday celebrations – Wishing Chloe, Marcel and Lilah a very happy 3rd birthday! We’ve also been singing all week long practising our Nativity songs. Please return your RSVP slips if you have not done so already, and a white t-shirt if your child is participating.
Have a great weekend!
