Dear families,

We have recently introduced some new resources to the block corner and the children have been very keen to use these to build, create and construct but they have also been creating a range of different patterns. The children have been working individually and in small groups as they pattern. They have been sharing resources and observing each other’s ideas, using these to influence their own play.
The jungle animal play has also been a hive of activity this week. The children have been using their knowledge and imaginations in their play, sharing story lines and creating animal families. They have been matching, sorting and grouping animals as well as acting out the different noises the animals make.

We are looking to sharing in Book Week celebrations next week. Don’t forget that Tuesday is our dress up day – come dressed as your favourite story book character and bring along the book to share in class.
Best wishes for a great weekend.
