Dear Wilkins
families and friends,
Thank you again
for another wonderful week and last week of term!
On Tuesday
we had some special visitors in the Wilkins and Langley yard. So we followed
our chickens and ventured out into the big yard. As we followed them over, one
chicken went in the coop and began to lay an egg! What a wonderful experience
this was to see!
Harvey - "Chicken bok
bok!"
Christian
- "They
eating grass, my chicken eat apple!"
Ronnie - "They chickens over
there, two chickens!"
Ginger - "We got eggs but no
chickens!"
Miss Jess then
cracked the egg open so we were able to see what was inside.
This week we have
spent a lot of time in the home corner baking some yummy treats. We have been
creating our very own birthday cakes and have been singing happy birthday to
all our peers. We also discussed what we like to do on our birthdays!
Following on from
last week the Wilkins room have been interested in using scissors! We have been
very busy using our fine motor skills at the cutting table! We have also tried
using different shaped scissors!
On Tuesday next week we will be welcoming Miss Courtenay who will be joining the Wilkins class as the new co-educator to replace Mrs Nicole who is on Maternity Leave. Miss Courtenay visited us yesterday - we are looking forward to her joining us. Please say hello and introduce yourself when you see her.
We hope you all
have a safe and exciting long weekend and holidays!
Love Miss Jess,
Miss Kim, Miss Ellen and Miss Renee.
