Hi Langley families and friends,
This week we went on an adventure up to the Preparatory school to
look for signs of spring. We had a discussion about the changing weather
and seasons, and were hunting for blossoms on the trees. We found some
beautiful pink blossoms on trees near the Chapel and sat down to admire them.

We took a small branch back to the ELC with us so we could
use it as a provocation for some art work. Children have spent time
looking closely at the branches as they use paint, tissue paper and material to
create their representation of the blossoms.
We have been sorting coloured fruit, working on our ball
skills outside and constructing with the tyres and blocks. We have
also continued to explore with the magnetic blocks on the light table,
creating patterns, designs and 3D shapes such as cubes and pyramids.
Next Thursday is Sports Day - if your child attends on this day,
please dress them in their house colour (house teams are displayed on the
Langley window). We will be taking part in the Health Hustle in the Preparatory Gym and running
races on the front oval, then returning to the ELC. Parent helpers are most welcome for this
occasion so please let us know if you are able to lend a hand. If your child
does not usually attend on a Thursday they are welcome to participate if they
are accompanied by an adult.
Have a relaxing weekend
