Dear
Mead Room families and friends,
Our
Eyes are unique and our graph is nearing completion. Our numeracy focus has seen us use our graph
first horizontally and now vertically – it is on the wall and almost all of the
Mead Room friends have contributed their data.
Mathematical language is everywhere and comparisons within the graph
have led to some competitive discussions regarding ‘most’, ‘least’, ‘more’,
‘less’ and ‘same’.
We
have had a few Mead friends go away camping just recently, (very brave in this
weather!),and others who have been some time ago but have much information to
share regarding the requirements for a successful sojourn in the great
outdoors;
Liliana – marshmallows
Flynn – food
Parker – people
Connor – we went camping and
took a sleeping bag and a tent
Cooper – it (the tent) has
sticks to keep it up
James – a campfire and a
torch
Leo D – a red tent
Sam – a rubbish bin
So we
have a tent, we have a couple of sleeping bags, a groovy campfire, we have lots
of people, and the sticks to keep the tent up.
Now we just need to find a space in our classroom!
We
said a sad farewell to Mrs Nacca on Thursday. She didn’t want a fuss but… well…
we couldn’t help it. We all gathered in
the café to wish her a safe trip to London with her family, they’re leaving on
Friday for an indefinite stay in Old Blighty.
She is much loved and will be sorely missed in our class and our
ELC. Bon Voyage Mrs Nacca xx We welcome Miss Sharon to our Mead Room community
as of next week.
Enjoy
your weekend!
From
Melissa and Elodie
