Hi Cooper families,
We made the most of
the very cold and wet weather this week by playing group games in the
classroom. The children learnt how to play “doggy doggy whose got the bone” and
“bug in the rug”. These games are great to play with young children as it
develops their skills in listening, taking turns, sharing and following the
rules/instructions of a game. The children loved participating in these
activities and have been asking each day if we can play them again.
The children have
taken fantastic care of the chickens over the last fortnight. Each day the
children have fed the chickens their "breakfast" and helped to clean
out their cage so that it is a nice place for them to live. We have seen the
children’s confidence grow and develop when holding and patting the chickens.
It has been a fantastic learning opportunity for the children in the Cooper
room and we are sad to have to say goodbye to them today. We all loved caring
for the chickens so much that we will have to organise for another Cooper room
animal to join our classroom.
Welcome back to
James and Grace who have both been on holidays with their families for the last
few weeks. It has been lovely hearing all about the adventures that you had on
your trip.
We hope that you
have a great weekend.
