Langley

Dear Langley families and friends,

In recent weeks several children have been enjoying using our large plastic animals for imaginative play. This week we have extended upon this interest by introducing a role play opportunity by using animal costumes. Much roaring, mooing and various other animal noises and movements can be heard and seen as you approach our room. We have also been sharing ‘The Three Little Pigs’ traditional tale coupling this with the use of felt characters and story related model pieces so children can retell the tale in their own words.

We continue to be curious about the environment around us with the use of Autumn leaves on an outdoor sensory tray. The children have used hands and feet to feel their way through the various textures. Please encourage your child to collect and contribute to our leaf collection as you see new colours around you.

Our friend Tiny the lizard has stayed an extra week and we are enjoying watching his behaviours and creating an art collage exploring his natural environment.

This week saw our final Dancify lesson for the term. It’s a been a wonderful experience for the children and many have gained confidence in movement and expressing themselves during these sessions.

We hope you have a lovely weekend enjoying the cooler weather.
