Wilkins

Dear Wilkins families and friends

This week has been great fun for our small group who spent their time exploring outdoors and indoor.

You may notice the workshop fence has been removed and extended the 2’s playground so now their outdoor play area looks huge. The children loved discovering this open area.  They chose to play in the home corner, block building, driving the wooden cars, digging in the sandpit and going up and down the climbing equipment.

Water play is always one of the Wilkins children's favourite activities. They were splashing the sea creatures - whales, octopus and dolphins - up and down in the water. Then they brought some pots and plates to throw into the water, then scooping up water and pouring it out. It was great to see the way they enjoyed water play in this hot weather.

Indoor, a couple of the children were interested in the train activity. They used the crane to lift the train compartment and then drove the train through the tunnel. They shared the trains with their friends and were playing nicely.

Kobe: It’s my daddy car.
Kush: I got train. Chuff, Chuff. Count train 1,2,3,4. It’s crane.
Angus B: Ball, More, Stop, Stop.

We would also like to welcome our new friends who will begin their new life adventure in our Wilkins room. We look forward in sharing great times and having lots of fun together.

Have a wonderful long weekend and we look forward to seeing you all next week when the new term starts.
