Wilkins

Dear Wilkins friends and families,

This week we have welcomed our newest staff member Miss Courtenay. Miss Courtenay brings with her a wealth of experience and is studying her Bachelor of Early Childhood through Swinburne University. She has a lovely and warm nature and our children and colleagues have already begun building relationships with her.

The first week of holidays has brought smiles to everyone's faces with this beautiful weather! We had lots of happy children and staff who wanted to go outside and soak up as much vitamin D as possible. On Wednesday we spent the afternoon outside playing with water, building sand castles and sharing afternoon tea with our teddy bears! Miss Kim in the kitchen made us home made lamingtons which were a huge hit and our teddy bear picnic was a great success!

On Thursday we went on an adventure to the rainbow playground. We were so impressed with all of our Wilkins friends who walked together so nicely and listened to their teachers about road safety. When we arrived at the playground we enjoyed some time on the swings, climbing the jungle gym, playing in the sand pit and going down the curly slippery slide!

Next week we will be doing our animal collage. Thank you to all of you who have already brought in photos of your child with their family pet or favourite pet.

Finally, a friendly reminder that we are now wearing hats. If your child doesn't have one please bring one in as soon as possible.

From Miss Renee, Miss Ellen, Miss Courtenay and Miss Kim
