Cooper

Dear Cooper Families and Friends,

This week has been a welcome and fun break for the children from the rigours of term time.

We started with some music, playing the class instruments loud to blow out the cobwebs after the long weekend.

For morning meeting we have been practicing some Morning Yoga techniques. We have had some fun with the positions to get our body warmed up and ready for the day ahead. The positions include “crossing bridges on paths, sailing boats on journeys, an explorer and a fiery volcano" just to name a few.

Bugs, insects and spiders have been an interest for the children so we put up the spider webs we made last week, made some spiders and insects and have been playing an insect matching game too.

Following the interest in insects and spiders the Mattingley class invited us to watch the animated movie “Ant Bully” with them. We set up the Mattingley room with the big screen and there was lots of cheering and laughter, especially when the “bad guys” lost.

With the return of some good weather it was a great opportunity to set up for a morning picnic at fruit time. The Cooper class were so excited with that we all sat on the picnic rug enjoying eating outside.

Thursday was a beautiful day to be outside so we headed to the top oval and playground for fun and games.

We hope you all have a great weekend and we will see you next week.

Thanks, Mr Ty and Miss Karla, Miss Jana and Miss Beth
