Mead

Dear Mead Room families and friends,

Welcome to Spring!

The children have been avidly observing the ‘clues of Spring.’
Alex – sun
Alexander – sunscreen on
Patrick – put your hat on
Haris – flowers

We will no doubt see many more clues and signs of this new season.

This week we have embarked on an inquiry into Eyes. What can they do? Are they all the same?
Paige – We can look
James – We can shut them when we’re asleep
Danica – You can blink your eyes
William R – You can do this (wink...)
Leonardo – We can see proper things
Liliana – Mummy can blink her eyes, and do handstands!
Oliwer – My eyes are blue and green
Tom T – My eyes are blue

Tom and Oliwer’s observations of eye colour triggered an avalanche of responses, with everyone eager to share their eye colour with their peers. This prompted a spontaneous numeracy experience, the count for Thursday was 10 people with blue eyes, 1 green and 7 brown – we might have to organise a graph!

Superhero and Movie Character Dress Up Day on Wednesday was thoroughly enjoyed by all – Spiderman was very well represented! Please see the main Blog entry for more photos!

Enjoy your weekend!
