Angwin

Dear Parents and Friends,

We have had a very exciting week preparing for our Big Boys Breakfast. It was a very special morning and I could see delight all over the Big Boys faces as their sons and daughters showed them around and enjoyed some precious time together! A great way to start the day!

This week we have also had two visits from two of our parents who are dentists! This was to follow up the amazing fun that has been had in our very own dentist clinic… The play has been rich and full of very painful experiences… I’m not sure if the receptionists, dentists or patients have had the most fun!

Ashlynn: Teddy has broken his tooth!
Teddy: oooh, ouch, oooh… (holding his jaw)
Kennedy: Next please as she is checking Teddy’s teeth
Izabella: Dominic it is your turn now so would you please wait in the waiting room?
Dominic: Yes I will…

It was such a meaningful way to follow up our learning and extend our knowledge about how teeth grow, what they need to stay healthy and what to expect when we go to the dentist… A big thank you to Gaya and Despina for willingly coming in to talk with us! We had lots of comments to share and a few questions too!

Joshua: My brother crashed into a pole and his tooth broke…
Regan: You might get fake teeth one day!
Poppy: My Granny has them
Oliver: Do you use xrays?
Regan: Do you have special glasses?

We have continued with our volcano project and the children have enjoyed painting our models with clay. The final decorations will be added next week! We have enjoyed making a few big sand volcanoes in the outside sandpit this week too. It has been fun to share our knowledge and expertise with the children from other classes.

Kind Regards,

Pip and Wenting
