Angwin

Dear Families and friends,

The Angwin Room has been buzzing with ongoing projects and interests of the children this week. We have been finishing off the amazing clay volcanoes that the children have been working on for some time. Please take a look in the white display shelves near our classroom.

We all really enjoyed Movie Day and had fun doing a parade outside in the garden with the other classes. We had Stormtroopers, Cinderella, Scooby Doo, Spider Men in abundance and many other wonderful outfits. It was a good opportunity to talk about how we play and to discuss what superheroes do!!

There has been a surge in interest in playing footy outside in the garden and a few children have helped Wolf to create a footy field along with players, a footy and an oval with goals. This has been fun to set up with the children and I am sure it will be just as interesting to hear how the rules work!

Milly, Liam’s beautiful dog came in for show and tell on Friday. She was so well behaved and the children enjoyed watching her do some tricks. It was a good opportunity to talk to the children about what to do when they meet a dog for the first time. She enjoyed lots of pats!

The big storm was a topic of conversation today, with children discussing how it made them feel and they were most worried about their pets and how it bothered them. We shall be exploring this further in the weeks to come.

Finally we have a beautiful fairy castle that has been built which I am sure will spark some princesses and princes to enter some imaginative play.

Thank you for all your support. I shall look forward to meeting with all our families over the coming weeks for parent teacher interviews. Please be in touch with a suitable time if you haven’t already!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Warm Regards,

Pip and Wenting
