Dear Wilkins families and friends,
We have loved the sunshine this week and have made the
most of our outside play. Just a reminder for all parents to please apply
sunscreen to your child each morning ready for outside play and we will reapply
in the afternoon.
A big thank you to Liam dad, Matt, and his ambulance partner Tim who
brought in their ambulance for the children to look at and explore on Tuesday.
The children loved looking inside, climbing on the bed and sliding down the
back board! We also got to have a turn sitting in the front “driving” the
ambulance and turning the siren on - it was very loud! Here are some of the
children’s reflections of the morning -
They put the sirens on so they can drive on the road to
the hospital - Ashlyn Ambulance, an engine. A sirens white - Sammy
An
ambulance, made noises - Zac
An ambulance, I like the siren because it went so
loud - Hugo
Beep, beep, driving - Riley
Ambulance, nee-naw, nee-naw nee-naw -
Nicholas
I seen one, red - Alex
Green ambulance. I drive in the front. Ree-aw,
ree-aw, nee-aw - Will
Nee-naw, nee-naw, nee-naw - Angus B
We have also been creating body portraits using our faces
as a starting point, building with large blocks outside, started making our
Christmas surprises for our families, using scissors for a range of different
cutting purposes and explored small group throwing and catching ball games to
support the development of our social interactions.
We look forward to seeing you all next week.
Best wishes for the weekend,
Ellen, Courtenay, Melissa and Jess
