Dear Families,
We have had a
wonderful week in Angwin exploring the Nativity story, working on our songs and
sharing lots of versions of the First Christmas story in our show and tell
program. The children have been working on their special gifts which are
looking gorgeous!
Our transition to
school program has continued with children attending PAC visiting Mrs
O’Hara’s room for a play. We have had another lunchbox picnic which has been
the provocation for the children to think about the types of foods in their
lunchboxes.We have looked at
whether their food is an always or sometimes food and whether they have had
enough to eat or too much! Containers to open and how much plastic have also
been topics of conversations.
The children have been
working together beautifully to create such co-operative models, in the block
corner, with the animals, with the train set… It has been a joy to see the way
they are using the social skills that we have been working on all year -
negotiating, sharing and taking turns.
We have continued our
visits across to the Tech Studies Department, to catch up with the boys who are
constructing our Bug Hotel. A big thank you to Sidney’s dad Brett for working
so hard to help this come together. We are most grateful!
We hope you have a
wonderful weekend and for those attending the Christmas Pageant, we hope the
rain holds off and you have a special time making memories with your children.
Kind regards,
Pip and Coney
