Dear Langley Families,
We have had a wonderful week with somewhat unusual
weather. The children were all
fascinated with the wild, wild weather on Monday.
Rupert: ‘Ooo,
rain, lots of rain!’
Lucy: ‘Too
loud’
Owen: ‘Bang,
bang’
Winnie: ‘Puddles
yeah!!’
However, the weather cleared up over the week and we
were all ready for our Harmony Day on Wednesday. It was wonderful to celebrate this with the
whole centre. It was great to see a sea
of orange among those on the day. We were able to show off our reflective
painting from the story by Mem Fox ‘Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes’. We
also sang the song using our fingers ‘Open shut them’.
A few remainders this week:
Grandies
Day- Parent helpers needed
Grandies Day is fast approaching us and the organisers
are looking for parent helpers to help on the day. These parent helpers may do one of the
following tasks, either help sell books at the books stall or set up and serve morning tea. To make the day run
smoothly we need helpers to assist in this community event. Please notify a staff member either face to
face or via email if you are available on April
4th from roughly 9-11am.
Please also approach a staff member if you have not
already received a Grandies day invitation.
Holiday
Program- Have you booked in?
Our term is going in very fast and Easter holidays are
fast approaching. Please indicate on the
yellow poster if you are thinking of needing holiday care. We need to know in advance so we can staff
the centre appropriately. A simple tick or cross near your child’s name will be
enough.
Easter
Holidays: April 14th -28th
*Reminder
that Thursday 13th April will be the last day of Term.
Parent
Teacher Interview
Parent Teacher interviews will be held between Week 10
and Week 11 of this Term. (3rd April – 13th April).
More information to come out soon.
Have a great & warm weekend everyone. It might be
our last for the season.
