Dear Chapple families
This
has proved to be one of our busiest weeks yet!
We
have been growing seeds and came up with an experiment to work out what a seed
needs to grow. We even role played being seeds. The tweezer game has proved
very popular and helped with our fine motor and sharing skills.
The caterpillar disappeared! I wonder when it will reappear?
Our
numeracy skills have continued to develop with a bingo game.
Harmony
Day was very exciting with us performing a play about a butterfly that had no
friends. It had the important message of Everyone Belongs. A theme we have been
working on in the classroom. Harmony Man came along to help us with our play.
Another
investigation we have been working on is Keeping Safe. We thought about what
was an emergency. We practised phoning 000 on our play phone and talking to the
emergency services. After this, we have a visit from a real police officer (James’ Dad) who talked to us about how he keeps us safe and the equipment he
has to help him to do this. We even got to go in his police car- The whole
Chapple class nearly all got inside the car at one time!
This
will be the last week of paper copies of the Weekly Diary. It will now be sent
by email. If you have not received a copy, please check your current email
address with the Front Office.
Tuesday 4th April is Grandies Day- Invitation have been
sent out. Please remember that carparking will be extremely limited so make sure the Grandies allow plenty of time to get here.
Parents interviews are available for those who are
interested in Week 10 - See time sheets on lockers.
Ms Wegener will make contact,
with the parents of her focus children, to let you know her available interview
times.
