Dear
Mead Room families and friends,
For
some time we have noticed our uniforms have a crown on them. We have also observed crowns elsewhere in our
ELC. On our books, the front door, on
signs, the teachers have a crown on their name badges – many, many places;
Tom T – It’s us, its Mead
Room
Parker – It’s our school
Flynn – I’ve got a crown too
Oliwer – We do
We
went for a walk around the school and found the crown everywhere. We asked two Year 8 boys, Mitch and Jack, if
they had crowns on their uniforms like us….. and they did!
Ethan – It’s ELC and big
school
Laura – all together
Mrs P – It’s all of us and the big school too – PAC is our place.
We had
some theories about what that might mean.
James – We work together
Danica – We’re friends
Jaden – Help each other
We
will continue to explore our crowns.
We are
still deeply engaged in our Recycling investigation.
This
week we have transferred some of our enthusiastic ‘3 arrow’ spotting to what we
are doing in the ELC with our food scraps and leftovers.
We
feed some of our leftovers to the chooks but some food goes into a green
organic bin, we know where it goes – we take it and the paper recycling to the
service yard…. but where does it go next? And what happens to the contents? We wondered who we could ask;
Sam – Someone with a crown on
their clothes!
We
welcome two little friends to our Mead Room community – stick insects! We don’t
have names as yet but we’re working on it!
Enjoy
your weekend!
