Dear Wilkins friends and families,
A big thank you to all our special grandparents who were able
to make Grandies day!
The children had such a wonderful time being able to share with you what
they do at ELC. We would also like to thank everyone who purchased books to
donate to our ELC community, we are very much looking forward to reading these
with the children.
This week our exploration into living things has expanded yet
again. We have welcomed two barking geckos into the Wilkins class this week,
thanks to Miss Georgia. The children have been extremely intrigued by our
new funny looking friends, here is some dialogue-
Stirling: "He's a bit ticklish, my Poo Bear wants
to say hi though"
Tom Selby: "Wow..., wow..., wow..."
Grace-Marie: "I want to touch him"
Another wonderful experience the Wilkins class has been following
is the journey of our Monarch Butterflies. Our caterpillars have
transformed over the last week into stunning orange and black Monarchs. The
children have been amazed by this experience, and so have the teachers!
Lotti: "It has wings like aeroplanes, its going to fly"
Yash: "It's going to fly"
Xavier: "Fly"
Harvey: "Big wings, flying"
We welcome you all to come and have a look at the living things we
have in our class at the moment, who knows what exciting things the children
will be interested in next :)
Have a great weekend,
Miss Jess, Miss Nicole, Miss Georgia, Miss Ellen and Miss Kim
