Dear Wilkins families and friends,
We trust you all had a lovely Easter break! The
Wilkins teachers have thoroughly enjoyed hearing about what the
children got up to and how many Easter eggs were consumed! During
the break Miss Nicole had baby sitting duties of our class tadpoles. She
was lucky enough to wake one morning and find a fully developed baby spotted
frog. Through watching and investigating the life cycle of frogs, the
children have been further developing their understanding of living things
and have been introduced to a wide range of new vocabulary.
Over the weeks leading up to the end of term we are going to be
exploring farm animals and reptiles. There has been a lot of interest around
this area, and many of our children like visiting our chickens on a
regular basis. If any one has any baby chickens at home or a pet
or equipment associated to farm animals or reptiles that they would
like to bring in to show the class, we would be very appreciative. We are
expecting another addition to our class very soon which we have raised money
for and kindly received donation! Our very own lizard! We are very excited.
We hope you all have lovely weekends,
