Cooper

Dear Cooper families,

We have been religiously collecting leaves in the morning and afternoon for the silk worms to eat. We are noticing that as they are getting bigger, they are needing more food to fill their bellies. We are keenly awaiting the next stage in the silk worms amazing life cycle.

Unfortunately, none of the beans have appeared to have been successful in sprouting from the soil. We took this experience as a learning opportunity and discussed reasons as to why we thought the seeds have not grown. These were our responses:

Lucy – We planted beans.
Sebastian – We planted seeds.
Toby – They haven’t grown yet.
Eddie S – They need water.
Lucy – We covered the seeds with dirt so we can’t see them.
George – They need more water to grow.
Archie – They need water. We put beans and flowers in the dirt.

We also started again! Planting seeds that Miss Gilbert bought from Bunnings instead and giving them a little more care and love than we gave the last batch. Hopefully they will start to sprout in 10 – 12 days as the packet says. We will be sure to keep you posted.

We hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

Love Miss Gilbert and Miss C
