Mead

Dear Mead Room families,

Another busy week of investigation!  We were inspired to plant broad bean seeds after Lucas and Christopher excitedly shared they had planted some in the outdoor environment and that they would grow, “On Monday”, later that afternoon they called Miss White over, doubling over with laughter, saying; “We tricked you!”  So we were intrigued to see what might happen if we did indeed plant some broad bean seeds.

Aston – A seed, it will be a plant
Kian – We were making seeds. We put them in the cup, it will grow big and strong
Wilbur – the seed, water it and it will grow
Lucas – we put a seed in the cup, some balls of cotton and water. Its on the table so it has light.  Its going to grow and grow into a…… BEANSTALK!
We will be observing our seeds intently to see if there will be any changes.  We will keep you posted!

We welcome back Jack from his hiatus in Japan.  It is so lovely to have almost everyone back in the Mead Room!

Our construction table has been a hive of activity!  Many amazing machines have emerged from this creative space, some from our imagination and some a personalised version of machines we know;

Banjo – this is a helicopter boat. It can land on water. It flies. It saves people from the sky and the water.
Louis – A breaking machine.  Breaks up walls, breaks up roofas. It breaks up the break! The things on the top do the breaking.
Lucy – It’s a lolly making machine.  There’s a flicky bit and the lollies come out of the hole.  Just press that button
