Langley

Dear Langley families and friends,

This week it was time for a new batch of paly dough! We had to read and follow a recipe so we knew what ingredients to use and what to do with them. We each had a turn a putting something in the bowl, then watched eagerly as all the ingredients mixed together to make our new blue play dough.
Laila – “We mixing round there”
Lachlan – “Got my fingers. I do this with my fingers. I gotta squish it”
Paxton – “It’s make it blue”

We also delved further into our investigations about machines. Miss Sarah brought in a hand held vacuum for us to examine. We took it apart, looked at all the parts and talked about what the vacuum does and how it works.
Chloe – “What is it?”
Lachlan – “Ooo what’s that? It’s a bit orange…..I have one at home”
Ashton –“Like our vacuum cleaner. It cleans up all the stuff”
Samuel – “Gets sand inside. I do have a fan. Oh yeah, it will clean the play dough”
The children then had a turn at using the vacuum to clean up all the sand on the floor.

Finally, on Friday we talked about the importance of brushing our teeth to keep them clean, healthy and strong, and had a go at brushing the giant teeth with a giant toothbrush.
Billy – “I hab a red tootbuts. I buts deef. Mummy say do bottom bit and dat one”
Eloise – “A pink one. Dey shiny. Mummy can help”
Edward – “Daddy brush”

Have a fun filled weekend,

Sarah, Emily, Brooke and Renee J
