Mead

Dear Mead Room families,

This week we have used a different machine from the kitchen.  We made juice again but this time it was orange juice. We tried again to make it by hand, squeezing the halved oranges;

Scarlet – it’s not working

Lucy – There’s not enough juice

Lola – it’s taking a long time

Then we tried with the old fashioned juice extractor;

Ellie – there's still not enough

Maxime – I think we will need a lot of oranges

Lachlan – we need a machine to juice them quicker

So we did!  We still needed a lot of oranges but it was much quicker and easier to use the machine.
We then discussed different machines….. and asked the question;

If you could make any machine from your imagination what would it be?
Kartik – a jelly bean machine

James – a toy machine

Zoe – a fairy machine

William – a lolly machine

Braxton – a baker machine

William and Seb began making their machines out of Lego, and next week we will begin creating our own machines from loose parts, boxes and anything else we can find.
Please bring some of these bits and pieces in so we can create our marvelous machines!

Birthday Celebrations – Lucy Selby reached the amazing 4 year birthday milestone this week – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Have a wonderful weekend
