Mead

Dear Mead Room families,

This week we have deconstructed a machine that was no longer working.  We had a look to see if we could work out what this machine was used for;

Maxime – it’s a machine!
Christopher – it has paper in it
Louis – That’s a printer

We talked about what makes it a machine;

Lachlan – It does things for you
Benjamin G – I got a machine that dries up my clothes
Tate – We have a machine that you put food in and then it's hot
Benji – I got one that’s big and Mummy cooks things in it.

But how to pull it apart………
Maxime – Tools, you have tools
Louis – There’s screws in it
Ned – A screwdriver!

So we had a look and found lots of screws holding it together and used some brand new screwdrivers to dismantle the printer.

Spencer found pulleys and gears and was intrigued when they moved together. We’re still disassembling the printer and looking forward to finding more hinges, levers and tiny Phillips head screws to remove.

We celebrated two birthdays this week with both James and Addison turning 4, fed the chooks with Miss Renee and received an amazing photo of Hannah’s family who are visiting Egypt!

Have a wonderful weekend.
