Angwin

Dear Angwin friends and families,

It has been yet another busy week for our Angwin boys and girls with everyone excited to share what they did during the long weekend.

We started off the week with our school explorations and a visit to the library. Inspired by the story 'Waiting for Hugo' by Amanda Niland, we counted nearly everything we saw around us.

Can you just imagine the sound of children counting trees, birds, chairs, leaves, sticks, stone and more? Mrs. Rocca's ears were buzzing with numbers at the end of the day.

We also got into preparing out hanging garden using recyclable materials such us milk bottles and large tins. The children had drawn and painted their own designs on each planter and even tried making drainage holes using nails and hammers by themselves with supervision. What a fun experience that was.

"Oh, I have to be careful using this hammer, don't I?", Harry P asked.

"I think I know how to do this cause my daddy has a hammer and nails in our man cave", Spencer informed.

"Look! I did it! I want to make lots of holes on this tin here!" Max proudly shared with a giggle.

"I'll just wait till I can paint the tin cans", Chloe said.

It's good that children took it upon themselves to give an experience a go, take calculated risk and achieve success. Good thing no tiny fingers got hurt in the process.

On Thursday, Mrs Tali de Lacy kindly shared her talent on face painting with us and you can just imagine how excited it made the children ( and Mrs Rocca too). Thank you Mrs de Lacy. We loved your work.

Here are some more of the things that kept us busy this week

We went on an Egg Treasure hunting.

We played Jenga.

We continued our discussions on pirates and made special pirate names for our friends.

We watched the funny movie " The Pirates" and joined their fun adventures as a pirate group (like we do in Angwin).

We had a go at making Fairy Breads and Sweet Potato Delights as snacks to share with our fairy and pirate shipmates.

And lots of makeshift ramps and road for cars were made by clever thinkers and creative designers too.

This has been a great holiday for us and we are looking forward to the next one. We are also looking forward to having Mrs Schmidt back for Term 4.

Till then,

Mrs Rocca
