Langley Room

Dear Langley family and friends,
We have been exploring the different sounds in the book "We’re Going on a Bear Hunt" at the story table this week. We have been listening to the CD story and retelling our own versions using the props. Our versions have been complete with sounds – swishy swashy grass, howling snow storms, squelchy mud and our favourite, the scream when we discover the bear!

A big thankyou to Harry’s mum (from the Mead room), who brought in her harp to show us on Friday. We all thought that it looked like a giant guitar with its big strings! She showed us how all the parts worked and played some beautiful pieces of music for us. We heard soft noises and loud noises and high and low noises and even noises that sounded a bit like a waterfall! After she had played we all got have a turn at playing it as well - we think there may be some harpists in the making in the Langley.

Our Big Boys Breakfast is coming up on Thursday 29th August and we have been very busy preparing for our celebrations! If we could have all RSVP slips and surveys back as soon as possible that would be fantastic.

Have a great weekend.

Best wishes,

Jess, Kerry, Nicole and Emily
