Mead Room

Dear Parents and Friends,
This week we have been busy preparing for our Big Boys’ Breakfast, which is next Thursday morning at 8am. We have also had another musical performance to enjoy. Some Year One boys who are learning the strings came down to visit us in the Mead Room. It was wonderful to be their audience!
We are busy exploring sounds that are made by aeroplanes. Toby brought in some photos of the aeroplanes that pass over his house each day. Often we hear and see planes in the skies over PAC too! Today we have made our own runway in the classroom. The children have been making planes with Mobilo and it is our hope that we might use some wood and popsticks to create our own aeroplanes.
The children have been very busy discovering the sounds made by jungle animals…. We have created our own jungle corner and are reading lots of stories and doing singing games such as “One elephant went balancing, step by step on a piece of string. He thought it was such enormous fun so he called for another elephant to come!” We have reached 5 elephants balancing before the piece of string snapped!!
Always fun and games in the Mead Room!
Kind Regards,

Emma, Pip, Amelia and Heidi
