Edgerley Room

Dear Edgerley Families and Friends,

Boom! Bang! Crash! Laaaaaaa! Tee tee tee! We have a real live orchestra in Edgerley, complete with a raised conducting platform, music stands and all manner of replica (box construction) instruments and made up instruments. We sound pretty amazing. The catch phrase to start each song, it seems, is “1, 2, 3, 4 – hit it guys!” Come in and have a listen – the teachers just can’t get enough!
We were treated with a visit from Rev. Mark Dickens and he brought along his didgeridoo! He was amazing and he talked with us about how he needs to breathe differently to keep the sound going. We could hear the sound and we discovered that we could even FEEL it too!
On Wednesday, Mr Bouyessis and Mrs Bell visited us with about 20 boys from the Prep School. They sang beautifully to us and we had a chance to sing back to them. Mr Bouyessis even showed us how a real conductor speaks – with their hands!
It’s been a super exciting week and very soon it will be next week!
We look forward to welcoming back two of our friends Archie and Louis.
We welcome Ms Karla to the Edgerley and Chapple classes!

Enjoy your weekend!
