Edgerley Room

Dear Edgerley families and friends.

Week 5 has been a very busy week for all of us. Building tree houses in various styles has showcased the children's ability to plan, share, solve problems and work as a team of builders.
"I will build the roof", Gabby said.
"And I will prepare the wall", Oliver added.
"There will be some trees on the side too" Sabian thought.
"This tree house is for all of us", Henry decided.
"There's a house next to mine. It's a house for me and Harrison. You have to wait for the boom gate to open if you want to come in", said Jackson.
"Let me know when the roof is done then I can put the chimney", Spencer requested.
We have been discussing more about different sounds our bodies can make. We heard lots of clicking, clucking, wheezing, stomping, clapping and lots more. We also enjoyed watching video clips of people body drumming and beatboxing. We were totally amazed at what  noises our bodies can make. But when the noise gets all too much, we know that we have a cubby to go in to and listen to soft sweet music with our headphones. It's chilled and relaxing in there.

Our excursion to the Odeon Theatre to watch " Me and My Shadow" was a huge success. The children were in awe at how the shadows moved and changed in shape and size. The use of lights was incredibly entertaining and there were just lots of giggles and laughter all throughout.
"Why the shadow go big and small?" inquired Edward.
"It was very funny when the boy jumped over the girl", Sabian said as he giggled.
"The man lifted the big red ball!" Pauline exclaimed.
"I want to see it again!" Florence added.
Thank you to the parent helpers who took the time to go with us.

We are all looking forward to all the dads coming to our Big Boys Breakfast! Please remember that we are also raising funds for the Wesley Mission Australian along with this event and we are looking forward to your support in making a difference in the life of the less fortunate. See you all on Thursday morning.
