Cooper Room

Dear Parents,
This week we have been lucky enough to have three wonderful performances in the ELC.
On Monday we visited the year 3 boys playing their recorders. We listened and watched carefully as they moved their fingers to make different sounds. We even played a dancing game with them.
On Tuesday Rev. Marks came and shared his didgeridoo with us. The children were fascinated with the different sounds he could create changing the way he moved his lips and blew. Tommy even played the tapping sticks to help set the beat. We could see the didgeridoo was hollow and made out of a long, thick piece of wood.
On Wednesday the year 3,4 and 5 choir shared a different instrument with us – their voice! They showed us how to warm up our voices and together we sang Do, Ray, Me. We are so lucky to see all these different sounds and instruments.
Back in the Cooper Room the children have loved experimenting with their Noisy table and found ways to make different sounds. Archie shared a new book called “Grug and his Music” so we will have fun finding and making new instruments next week.
We hope you all enjoy a wonderfully Noisy weekend.
