Mead

Hello Mead families and friends,

This week there were quite are few children still on holiday and so we have smaller numbers.

Our children have been busy and having a fun time as usual in the Mead Room this week. We have been enjoying outside and indoor activities. The children collected branches and leaves from the playground area to create a campfire setting. They had many ideas for making a campfire. Spencer said "we can use the flint or wood to make the fire". "We can use the salt and soil to stop fire burning," Christopher added.

Children enjoyed playing different activities with some children drawing and some made crafts. Lucy said she made a present for Miss Melissa; she made a froggy and umbrella. Lachlan said he built a gaol car and Max said "I made things too."

We made playdough on Monday.

On Wednesday the children found a partner to make their own coloured ice container and they added dinosaurs and trees.

Lucy said : I want to make blue colour and she added some red colouring
Scarlet : I want the green colour and she put a dinosaur and tree into the container
Spencer : I want yellow.
Max: I want green with a dinosaur
Kartik + Lachlan chose blue
Lloyd +Lachlan they wanted chose yellow

In the coming weeks we will be spending time planning many new activities for children to experience and enjoy.
.
We hope you all have a great and happy year in 2016 with your friends and families. Also please welcome our new co-educator Elodie to our Mead room.
