Angwin

Dear Parents and Friends,

We have enjoyed being together this week, following lots of different interests of the children.

One of our projects has been building our own airports…
One morning Sidney and Denver were very busy first thing in the morning building their own aeroplane. It was very long and had many windows, a tail and a cockpit. They were keen to use their plane in their play.

Oliver: My dad’s on a plane right now going to Canada! He went in a taxi very early so I got to snuggle in Mummy’s bed and we went back to sleep!

Harry H: My dad’s going to Sydney!

Harry BB: I been on a plane to Sydney too!

Dominic: My dad’s going to Greece!

Oliver: Look here guys! There’s lots of ideas (pouring over the photos)

Harry H: It’s a plane shed!

Oliver: It’s a hangar.. it needs to be longer to fit the plane.

William: Can you make one for me?

Robert: It needs a bus and a bus station… Here’s mine!

Sidney: It goes like this and then it goes up.. (showing Harry H how to fly his plane)

Oliver: I’m going to build the control tower now.

Sidney: We’ll need a forest because real planes go through a forest.

Harry BB: The runway’s blocked!

Harry H: My dad’s on a tiger plane.

The excitement and interest is wonderful to see!

We had a great concert showing off our Dancify numbers from our term’s dancing sessions with Miss Erin.

We have enjoyed some great play in the home corner and there has even been a school in residence in our class, using all our signs, checklists, the bell and lots of writing!

Wishing you all a wonderful Winter holiday. Stay safe and enjoy some good family time. Miss Bowden and Wenting will be with the children during the holidays and I shall look forward to returning in 3 weeks time.

Kind Regards,
Pip, Coral and Wenting
