Angwin

Dear Angwin Parents and Friends,

We’ve had a lovely week in Angwin, with many exciting activities. Amongst the usual PE, Chinese and library lessons, we’ve also made apple juice, participated in yoga and made friendship bracelets for our friends and family. We are continuing our discussions on our unit of inquiry, People Matter, and have read several stories around this topic. Angwin children have also begun watching Charlotte’s Web to further provoke the children’s investigation into friends, relationships, love and kindness. We will continue to watch this over the coming weeks so you may like to discuss this with your child. We’ve also talked about Valentine’s Day being a celebration of love, friendship and kindness. The children seem much more excited about celebrating Chinese New Year, however! Here is part of our class discussion about friends…..

‘You have a friend who can play with you.’ Sebastian

‘Not punching.’ Arwyn

‘Someone at home was calling out for me. Outside when I was three years old. It was called someone.’ Aiden

‘Somebody next to my house called Fraser and Harvey. They be nice.’ Will

‘Some people come to their houses.’ Angus

‘Friends don’t hurt people.’ John

‘They don’t hit each other and they just ring us and they send a message and they play games.’ Leon

‘You don’t push each other.’ Caitlyn

‘Friends don’t touch spiders together.’ Angus

‘Friends play with each other.’ Lucille

Have a lovely weekend!
