Cooper Room

Dear Parents,

We have had a wonderful week testing  and strengthening many of our fine motor skills. From threading to writing our name, drawing pictures, making food in the Cooper Restaurant and creating our own pot of confetti. The children have also loved the opportunity to try out some new apps on our computers. These involve tracing , following instructions, dragging images and completing our personal jigsaws. We also tested our power of observation through creating some amazing self portraits  - wow, how we have changed and grown! We have created a display of the beautiful Cooper Room class. Please come and take a look. Many children also painted a still life of a flower arrangement from Miss Bowden. We asked the children to paint the flowers so when the flowers finally died we would all be able to remember them. The gorgeous paintings certainly will not let us forget them.
One of the favourite activities for the week was creating our favourite meal! The children have collaged their dish for all to see on our picnic rug. On Friday we made the most popular meal – pizza! The children wrote their shopping  list, visited the Cooper Room shop to purchase their ingredients and then set about making the pizza, base and all. What a delicious treat to end the week.

Kind regards

Susan and Coral
