Dear Wilkins families and friends,
This week we have been on a few adventures.
We have enjoyed riding bikes and scooters in the ELC car park
where the children were able to ride and push their scooters around in an open
but protected space. The children were very excited about this activity and enjoyed
sharing this experience with their peers. They were amazing with their riding
skills, with so many that were quick and riding faster as they became more
comfortable with the carpark area. There was lots of laughing out loud and
shouting while they rode.
It was great to have Ms Tamara from Animal Anonymous come to the
Langley room to talk about Australia’s animals. Ms Tamara brought many kinds of
animals to show the children, such as Stimson python, possum, parrot, velvet
gecko, bettong and a small crocodile. The children were thrilled to see the
different animals and Ms Tamara gave children turns to touch each animal.
Most of the children were very brave to touch the snakes and the other animals.
It was great to see children enjoying an amazing riding
experience and to learn about different Australian animals first-hand.
We
hope you have a safe and joyful weekend.
Miss
Ellen, Miss Courtenay and Miss Melissa
