Dear Parents,

What wonderful weather to start a busy and bustling Term 4! We have certainly made the most of it and spent lots of time exploring the outdoors. The water trail has been running for those of us wishing to take our shoes off and have a splash. We have diligently watered our fruit and vegetable plantings to ensure they are getting lots to drink.

We have ventured up to the Preparatory School playground as a treat and some of us had a go at the long jump track to see whose little legs could run and jump the farthest. It was a challenge to coordinate ourselves to seamlessly move from a run to a jump!

On our walk back to the ELC the children admired the wonderful Bottle Brush trees. Grace asked if she could paint them, so we picked some flowers to take back to our classroom and use as our still life provocation.

We had another 'What's the Buzz' Lesson this week in which we discussed sharing. The children did a wonderful job playing the 'thumbs up, thumbs down' game and contributed thoughtful ideas in relation to dealing with friendship issues that arise in relation to this topic which surfaces on a regular basis. They were excited to receive the green and yellow reward cards for great listening and participation too.

During the term break Mrs McKenzie had a clean out of her 'games cupboard' at home and brought in some new games for the children to explore this term. We have had lots of fun learning the rules of these games and challenging each other with friendly competition.

Best wishes,
Emma, Mel and Chris
