Dear Wilkins families and friends,
Our Book Week celebrations have been in full swing this
week and the children have loved engaging in the range of experiences. We have
shared a different fairy tale story with the children each day, allowing them
to engage with the props and retell their own versions. We also had some big
Year 4 boys come down and share some stories with us and Miss Mandy came and
read us a story.
On Thursday we paraded our favourite book character costumes
around the Town Square with the rest of the ELC children - thank you to all the
families who helped to make this a success by dressing your children up.
We have also be role playing in our new wooden Kombi
vehicle this week. The children have been negotiating and sharing resources as
they take turns in the car. They have been acting out different car scenarios
and sharing their understandings and knowledge of road rules.
Our Father’s Day
preparations have continued this week, can everyone please return their RSVP’s
and surveys as soon as possible - we look forward to seeing all our Big Boys
next Thursday 31st.
At the end of each day we make sure that everything is
tidy in the classroom and set up ready to go for the next day. If your children
play with something in the classroom when you pick up, can you please make sure
that everything is packed away again. Thank you in advance for your help.
Best wishes for the weekend,
Ellen, Courtenay, Melissa and Jess
