Dear Langley Family and Friends,
This week our classroom displays are being fine
tuned. Please look up and take you child
on a gallery walk around the room.
Asking them questions about what they have done or what they can see.
During our Morning Meeting time, we have finished
investigating the bear hunt book. We
drew our own bears and chatted about any feelings the characters may have in
the story. We concluded our week with a
bear hunt ourselves. Many children loved
during this activity. Some even
continued their own bear hunt for themselves and their friends. Our next story
we will be focusing on is the story, ‘Who Sank the Boat’ by Pamela Allen.
Our morning fruit/snack time has changed by
15mins. We are now eating at 9:30am in the dining room. This means our daily Morning Meeting will be
starting at 9:15 am. So if possible could children please now arrive
as close to this new time (9:15am) ready for our morning meeting. Morning meeting is an important experience
for all children as it helps them start the day calmly, it gives them a chance
to welcome each other, and often they experience something fun and new as a
class.
For our Father’s Day event (more info to come) we are
on the hunt for some off cuts of timber.
If you have any from previous wood working projects or know of any
suppliers we would love to use them for an activity on the day. Please speak to any of the staff to let them
know.
Enjoy your wintery weekend.
From Miss Georgia, Miss Tayla, Miss Nicole, Miss
Amelia and Miss Kathy
