Dear Mattingley
families and friends,
What a busy week
our classroom fire department has had responding to many emergencies around the
place. This lead to many class discussions about what Fire Fighters do and what
we can do if we see a fire.
Hurry call the
fire truck- Lola
Put the fire
out- Elsa
Quick Miss
Mason the phone is ringing! Where's the fire?- Mack
Nee naw, nee
naw because there is a big fire!- Dylan
The fire
fighter drives- Harry
They shoot
water at the fire- Hugh
They put out

Fire burns- Rocco

We go outside-
Ruby (if
there is a fire in the classroom)
You have to
stay outside- Alannah
We also spoke
about what to do if there is a fire. We decided that we needed to tell an adult
and call 000 to ask for a fire truck. We must listen to adults and follow what
they say. It is not our job to fight the fire. Only when we are pretending in
our classroom fire department. We are hoping that next term we will be
able to arrange a Fire Truck to visit us. If you have connections to any
Fire Service we would love to welcome you into our classroom to help us build
on our learning.
On Thursday we
celebrated Easter together as a whole ELC. Coming together in the Town Square
we shared our special hats that we were wearing to celebrate Easter. It
was wonderful to see all the creative designs and bunny ears. While Mrs Cooper
shared a special Easter story you'll never guess who paid us a visit?
The Easter

We find eggs.
There are baby chickens in them- Riani
No they

We wish you all a
very happy and safe Easter long weekend. We look forward to hearing about all
the children's adventures with their families next week.
Kimberley and
Liana
