Dear Chapple Families
It has been an exciting time for the Chapple room, we
have reunited after the Easter long weekend sharing stories about where we have
gone and what the Easter bunny left us.
We commenced our salt dough poppy flowers. The
children mixed ingredients together to create salt dough; we made two batches
one that consisted of red food colouring and the other batch plain so that the
children who wished to decorate theirs could.
Isaac brought in some leaves and a flower to the ELC and
asked if he could plant them to make them grow. Miss Elodie helped Isaac collect
soil, he planted his leaves and flower into a container adding flowers on top
of the soil to decorate it and make it look ‘pretty’. Isaac knew that he had to
water the flowers and leaves for them to grow. Ben Butler, Sidney and Leo
quickly grew curious to what Isaac was doing and decided to do the same.
We visited the Rainbow playground on Tuesday which is
always a big hit! It is a great opportunity for the children to visit the
school grounds during the holidays and enjoy the colourful equipment with the
new water fountain pump that has recently been added.
Thursday was a movie day, we darkened the room having all
the curtains down and watched ‘The Secret Life Of Pets’ with the Edgerley
children. What a great way for the children to unwind during the holidays.
Boot camp Friday was lots of fun! We ventured up to
the big oval participating in an array of different activities from star jumps
to push ups and running sprints. It was a great way to release energy and
further our gross motor skills. We all received a well-done sticker for our
achievements.
