The warm weather has been great for our experts in play – the children. It has meant pipes and water have been the order of the day, with so
much dialogue, creativity and social interaction.
The sound of the week “G” was an excuse to bring out the
golf clubs and we went for a “hack” on the back oval. One of two budding Greg
Normans were in evidence.
After a visit to the library and the story of the "Three
little pigs", we investigated houses and discussed some people live in mud
houses. We got out the clay and we had some great examples which we have put on
display.
We were also lucky enough to have a visit from Eddie Betts
and Tex Walker from the Crows - They were a little shorter in real life, but
their guernsey numbers were great for helping us with our numeracy.
As part of our transition to school, we will be going to the
Rainbow Playground at the Prep School to have a picnic lunch. This is a great
opportunity to explore the important school skill of managing our lunch box!
We ask all the Tuesday children to bring a lunch in a lunch
box as if they are going to school. Remember please no nuts or nut products.
This will take place on Tuesday 8th November. There will be
no ELC lunch on that day. We hope to repeat this activity on another day to
give all children the opportunity.
