Dear Langley families,
We have ventured to letter-land this week. The children
have continued to practice their writing skills with chalk and textas as
they look at their name cards and letters on the wall, and have been
printing with letter shaped sponges. We have also used our name cards at
group times to help us take turns into the bathroom to wash our hands. Some
children have begun to make the connection between words being made up of
letters - amazing literacy skills!
It was a performing arts kind of week as we had a special
performance from "SeaStar Rock" on Tuesday and Dancify came to
an end. At both sessions children displayed all
their action, movement and dance skills. Thank you Miss Erin and the
SeaStar Rock team!
Finally, this week marks the end of Term 2! This also means that
many of our Langley friends only have a few more weeks with us before they move
classrooms. We would like to wish Sebastian A, Sebastian B, Joshua, Xavier,
Isaac B, Linda, Isaac C, Declan, Larissa, Ed, Grace, Ned and James
every success as they continue on to their next learning journey in
the Cooper room!
During the Winter program, the Langley team plan to create a
rainbow collage with the children as they have shown a keen interest in the
changing weather and rainbows over the last few weeks. We ask that you dress
your child in particular colours on the following dates so all can be
included:
Monday 4th July - RED
Wednesday 6th July - ORANGE
Friday 8th July - YELLOW
Tuesday 12th July - GREEN
Thursday 14th July - BLUE
Monday 18th July - INDIGO
Friday 22nd July - VIOLET
Have a great week
Sarah, Brooke, Emily and Renee
