Dear Cooper Room families and friends,
During the week we celebrated Caterina’s 4th Birthday.
Thank you for the delicious cupcakes!
Winter is upon us! During the week we have remained indoors
keeping extra busy and warm due to the weather restrictions outside. Hopefully
next week we can get out and about to explore the school grounds and have a
play at the rainbow playground.
The children have been particularly interested in the dress up
costumes William L kindly donated to the Cooper Room. First thing in the
morning when the children arrive they seek out their outfit and use their
imagination to create roles and scenarios which has positive effects on their
development. Dressing up in costumes is an important part of play as it fosters
children’s imagination, enables them to explore themselves and strengthens
relationships.
The
children have also been interested in the ‘Hammer and Nail set’ which is a
construction and manipulative experience. This has helped promote fine motor
skills and social interactions as the children work together to discuss and
problem solve whilst creating their design.
A
BIG thank you to Lucie Haskett! Thanks for coming into the Cooper Room to
explore in colour experimentation with the children. They loved it!
Please continue to collect your child’s artwork stored in our
‘Library Books’ return basket that you will find on top of the lockers.
Please ensure to check for any missing sign in/out signatures that
are overdue. The paper work is located on the table outside the Cooper Room
classroom. Thank you.
We wish you all a happy and safe weekend. See you all next week.
