Dear Cooper Room families and friends,
Well the time has come to say goodbye and farewell a wonderful
year we have shared in the Cooper Room. I’m thrilled to be moving up with you
all into Edgerley to continue the learning journey with your children in
preparation for big school. A big thank you to Miss Gilbert, we will miss you.
We wish you a marvellous year with your new group of children.
How lucky are we to have had a beautiful week of sunshine? As a
result, we have been able to go outside to explore the school grounds, make a
trip to the library for a story and visit the rainbow playground.
The children have been particularly interested in box construction
and creating wonderful designs with the resources available. Using the props,
the children have improvised and imagined scenarios which reflect their family
day to day life and interests.
I managed to
capture this moment of Zara and Lexie’s conversation:
Lexie We’re making presents.
Zara It’s Campbell’s surprise
birthday today. We’re going to do ‘pass the parcel’ game and when the music
stops another parcel comes out.
Lexie I’m doing a card for
Campbell.
We have removed all the artwork in the classroom so please
continue to collect your child’s master pieces. They are stored in our ‘Library
Books’ return basket that you will find on top of the lockers.
We have cleared our classroom display boards so please feel free
to check the ‘Show and Tell’ basket for any photos of your child that you wish
to take home.
Please continue to check for any missing sign in/out signatures
that are overdue. The paper work is located on the table outside the Cooper
Room classroom.
We wish you a safe and happy weekend. See you all next week for a
fresh new start in the Edgerley Room.
