Dear Angwin Families,
This week has been a great week for
both of teachers and children. On Monday, we joined Edgerley the children
for some science experiments. Mrs Kaur demonstrated the processes to us
then all of children had a go. Angwin class explored the experiment of raining
clouds. We talked about the scientific knowledge and theory behind the
phenomenon. It was interesting to hear the children’s thoughts.
The second
experiment didn’t work at first, so we talked about what could have gone wrong
and tried to fix it up. The second attempt was quite successful and the
children gained a sense of accomplishment through solving problems with their
reasoning and logical thinking.
Oliver’s Dad visited us for a
sports session. The children had great fun in the Red Centre and we also
practised our gross motor skills by kicking balls, jumping and running. In the
afternoon, some of our children drew pictures about the PE class and wrote a
thank you letter for him.
On
Wednesday, we had a police man visit. We talked to the police man, tried on the
uniform and helmets and explored the police car. The conversations between the
police man and Angwin children were very interesting and there were so many
incidental lessons occurred during the conversations.
We
have also been creating 3D paintings with foam and glue. Children have produced
amazing pictures.
Love Miss Wenting and Miss Bowden
